2023 was a year of growth – significant investments and further developments in store for 2024
CEO Tapio Kaunismäki
For Mapromec, the year 2023 was a year of growth. Even though the company has reached an increase in their revenue, CEO Tapio Kaunismäki is pleased that the increase has not been achieved at the expense of quality or delivery times.
“We have been able to deliver products in the expected timetable and with high quality. That is always our top priority.”
Another top priority for Mapromec is their personnel. The company has strategically invested in employee satisfaction by making upgrades in their production facilities and renovating break rooms and common areas, and by beginning the construction of a brand-new office space. The company has also taken several steps to further develop their production.
“Our most significant new investment is the Okuma GP-36FII x 150 grinder, which will allow us to grind even larger workpieces. The grinder will be commissioned in 2024.”
With all of the positive developments, Kaunismäki feels confident about the year ahead. Development, however, is a continuous effort.
“We will continue to invest in customer communication, quality and personnel satisfaction and safety. Environmental actions and sustainability are becoming a larger part of our operations: we are constantly looking for the most effective ways of fostering the sustainability of our actions. All in all, our main goal for the year 2024 and all the years to come is the following: satisfied customers and satisfied employees.”
